Growing up on Indian Rocks Beach, I drew "soon to disappear" scenes of a Florida in its prime. I was won over by the lush vegetation and water that surrounded me. I began to paint almost daily during my teens. While teaching myself to paint I also did commercial art, which eventually led me to my own graphic design studio.
The switchover to fine art, was gradual. The turning point occurred when I first experienced an art festival. Energy, excitement, and the immediacy of contact between artist and the public won me over! I have been showing both in galleries and art festivals for the past thirty-three years. Many of my paintings are laced with glamour and romanticism, others simply celebrate the many faces of a shoreline.
Born out of a youth`s dream and fueled by years of hard work, ups and downs, rewards and defeats, my personal vision remains both fresh and consistent. After years of living aboard a sailboat an painting miniatures, I am currently enjoying the space of a studio ashore, enabling me to once again paint large.
